Flying with the words trough Tempelhof Park

As part of the project "Kreativer Anarchismus" i was invited to give an expert walk in the Tempelhof Park in Berlin. I gave a whole poetic workshop that including gazing and dreaming with the clouds, reading poems and also writing new ones. Here are the poems i wrote in this wonderful workshop. Both English and Hebrew.

Israel's Natan Zach was a wonderful poet – but also a racist

“Not good, a man being alone / But he is alone anyway. / And he’s waiting and he’s alone / And he lingers and he’s alone. And he alone knows / That even if it is delayed / Let him come, he will come.” Natan Zach

‘The desperate cry from my German Jewish friends to see a new US leader’

MATI SHEMOELOF: They fear that four more years of Trump would boost the right-wing AfD’s bond with the right-wing Israeli government while masking the surge in anti-Semitism

THE SOUND OF THE gunshots near the synagogue in Halle last year have not yet faded off. And this week we learned that a gunman opened fire near a Jewish community centre, synagogue in Vienna, leaving at least four people dead.

The attack was claimed by Islamic State but the growing spectre of anti-Semitism can’t only be blamed on the radical Islam. These flames are also being fanned from the right and the deteriorating political discourse coming from America.

Wherever I go in Berlin, I hear a desperate cry from friends and colleagues, especially in Jewish circles, to see a change of leader in the US election. There is a sense that another four years of Donald Trump will change this city, and Germany, profoundly.

Their fear is that the extreme right-wing AfD would strengthen their bond with Israel while masking an even stronger surge in anti-Semitism in Germany.המשך לקרוא "‘The desperate cry from my German Jewish friends to see a new US leader’"

In first application of anti-BDS law, Germany censors Israelis

Who is allowed to discuss the Jewish narrative of Zionism in Germany? Apparently, not Israelis.

Over the last decade Berlin has become home to thousands of Israelis and Palestinians who have left a cultural imprint on the city of more than 3.5 million. Among these Israeli immigrants, a small group of art radical students at Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin organized a month-long program in October to explore themes of how knowledge creates systems of power and envision equality between Israelis and Palestinians. They called the program the “School for Unlearning Zionism.”המשך לקרוא "In first application of anti-BDS law, Germany censors Israelis"
